Evangelism for Small Groups
As a small group leader, you have many important goals for your people. First, you want to see them make a difference through your teaching; you want the kingdom to be impacted and the lost saved through your group. You want your people to do evangelism.
Inasmuch as you want your group to grow and flourish, it’s important to you that your people really get into and enjoy the materials you choose. Furthermore, you want them to grow in their knowledge of Scripture and of the Lord. And finally, you also have logistical concerns: Is the resource made for groups? Can it fit into my schedule? Is it affordable?
You’ll be glad to know Forcefully Advancing (FA) meets each of these critical concerns. By equipping the average Christian to aggressively and consistently engage the lost in their sphere of influence, through biblical evangelism at work, home, community, and school, FA will ensure your people make a lasting impact, in time and eternity.
One of the things committed Christians want to do most is learn how to share with others, how to befriend them, how to answer their questions and lead them to God. For this reason, FA can be one of the most enjoyable studies in which your class will ever engage. And the great thing about FA is that it doesn’t present a confrontational approach to evangelism. The FA approach is built on friendships. Your people will be empowered, and they’ll love the process. (Read an excerpt on developing friendships with the lost.)
Furthermore, inasmuch as FA is a book founded upon Scripture, its pages are replete with strong biblical teaching, including explanations of original context, cross references, and word studies. (To see an example of this, read this excerpt.)
Finally, FA was built for small groups. Its thirteen chapters fit nicely into a typical church quarter, and each chapter ends with a list of discussion questions. (For an example, read this excerpt.) And if you’d like a shorter series, a seven week study plan is available that covers the entire book in about half the time (check it out here.) Also, the book is offered in discount for larger volume purchases (starting with as few as ten books).
